Product Description

Ondafran Syrup (Ondansetron) is a specialized oral liquid antiemetic designed to prevent and manage nausea and vomiting. This syrup formulation is ideal for children and adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets, offering a precise and easy-to-administer way to control digestive distress caused by medical treatments.

Indications
  • Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea: Prevention of nausea and vomiting in pediatric and adult patients receiving emetogenic chemotherapy.

  • Radiotherapy-Induced Nausea: Prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with radiotherapy.

  • Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV): Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting following surgical procedures.

How It Works

Ondansetron is a selective 5-HT₃ receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural chemical in the body that triggers the vomiting reflex. By blocking these receptors in both the digestive tract and the brain, the syrup effectively interrupts the signals that cause the urge to vomit.

Each 5 ml contains:

  • Ondansetron: 4 mg (As Ondansetron Hydrochloride)
