Dexagent Eye Drops is a topical ophthalmic combination formulation containing Gentamicin (as sulphate) and Dexamethasone (as sodium phosphate). It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections associated with inflammation. The drops provide both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, helping to eliminate infection and relieve ocular symptoms.


Indications

Bacterial eye infections
Inflammatory ocular conditions with bacterial infection
Conjunctivitis (bacterial)
Blepharitis
Post-operative eye inflammation (with risk of infection)


How It Works

Gentamicin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
Dexamethasone works by suppressing inflammatory responses, reducing swelling, redness, and irritation.


Composition

Each ml contains:
Gentamicin (as sulphate) 0.3%
Dexamethasone (as sodium phosphate) 0.1%


Directions for Use

Use as directed by a healthcare professional. Instill the recommended number of drops into the affected eye(s). Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
